I am one of those people that wont decide on a costume until the day before halloween. It can be very stressful when you know you have no time to order things online or go shopping.
7 Last Minute Costume Ideas:
- Vampire: vampires are a fool proof costume. Throw on some black clothes that you feel confident and fun in, get some fangs, and apply a dark berry lipstick. Add some blood to vamp it up a notch.
- Frat Boy: throw on a Hawaiian shirt, some colorful chinos, a baseball or bucket cap, and Sperry’s and you’re good to go!
- Cow Girl: All you need for this costume is a plaid shirt, jean bottoms, leather boots (preferably cowgirl boots), and a bandanna. Cow girl hat optional*
- Baseball Player: What you need is your favorite baseball teams jersey, white, gray, or black ;leggings depending on the team colors, sneakers, white high socks, and a matching baseball cap. To take it up a notch carry around a baseball and wear eye black.
- Taylor Swift: Grab your favorite skirt-sweater set, a classic handbag, cute sunglasses, and classic heels or boots. Go the extra length by wearing red lipstick!
- Arianna Grande: Throw on a fun skater skirt or dress, some cute pumps, and throw your hair up in her signature half-up-half-down. ** you could also go the funny route and buy a box of donuts to lick and talk about how awful America is.
- Hippie: Find a flower or tie-dye top and a pair of ultra flare pants. Take this look up a notch with a flower crown, a peace sign necklace, and some groovy shades. And don’t forget to flash a couple peace signs!

As the weather is changing I am looking for ways to make my wardrobe more geared towards spring. I just went shopping and picked up this pencil skirt from Ann Taylor. I really like it because I don’t see many pencil skirts in light colors. I also LOVE the pattern and the colors go together very well. The pale pink and pastel blue work really well for spring. I also found this coat in my sisters closet and was surprised to find how much I liked it. The light blue is nice for the warmer weather when you still need a coat to keep warm.

We all know the feeling where you just want to not get up and stay in your warm bed all day. This is me almost every Sunday.. When I have to go out to brunch and wake up 30 mins before, putting together an outfit can be some what of a challenge. I put together a quick and easy Sunday Brunch look modeled by Kerry Keough.
I really love this look because you can wear it in any season. In the winter, just throw on tights, a sweater, and some riding boots. In the summer I like to keep it simple and switch out the flats of a pair of sandals. Pairing a neutral skirt with a fun-patterned top is perfect for lazy Sunday mornings. I love this jacket too because it polishes off any look. A head band like this one is my go to for when I wake up with bed head. Its fun and makes my hair a bit more manageable.
Let me know what you like to wear for Sunday brunch? 🙂

A little background story: I was at a party at the store EXPRESS in Time Square on Friday. I was so excited to be there are had picked out the perfect outfit- a cute but not too revealing black romper, a fun necklace, and a sleek pair of black heels. I felt amazing and was having the best time. About half way through the party, my feet began to really hurt. I decided to stick it out through the pain, but eventually I couldn’t bear it anymore. So I bought a pair of flats from EXPRESS during the party. I was instantly feeling so much better and could now enjoy the fun things going on around me.
This got me thinking about what flats I will be wearing this spring- whether it is on the go or dressing up. At EXPRESS I tried a different silhouette of flats that has openings on the sides. I really liked them and got them in a fun bright blue that will transition my wardrobe from winter into spring. I think they are perfect from fun, semiformal events and to spruce up an everyday wardrobe.
I have two favourite on-the-go pairs of flat shoes. I love the Vans slip-ons and Toms espadrilles. Vans are more durable because of the rubber sole and the fact that they are meant for activities such as skateboarding. My favourite Vans are the classic slip-on perforated leather (black and white are both gorgeous) because they are breathable, practical, and very fashionable all at the same time. I like Toms because they are light-weight and the company is helping people around the world and creating a sustainable shoe industry. My absolute favourite Toms are the Classic Natural Crochet because the fabric is breathable, light, and have a beautifully subtle pattern.
Here is where to get them:
Let me know what your favourite shoes are, I am always looking for more shoe recommendations!
With all of the crazy weather in New England, we have had to delay our transition to spring wardrobes. I love this oversized cardigan because arm, easily layered, and is such great pattern. These pants are great for the transition into spring and the warmer weather. The motto details on the pocket make it unique. I just bought this pair of sunglasses at PacSun and have been wearing them everyday. They are a unexpected and fun touch.

On Saturday I shopped in SoHo. I visited many global brand stores as well as boutiques on Canal Street. I visited Topshop and was instantly engulfed in the unique clothes and the stellar sale that was going on. I came across this simple black romper while scouring the racks. I love black and the versatility of a romper, so i decided to give it a try. In the dressing room I instantly fell in love with it. It is a timeless piece. A V-neck, sleeveless, and light-weight. I just absolutely LOVE it!

I love the off duty model style! It is a casual and therefore simple style and very under the radar. I love that although simple, there are so many different variations of this style. I decided to go for the off duty look today in a navy blue velvet top, black leather shorts, and dark tan sandals. It can be very difficult to perfect an off duty model look. I have learned to stick to neutral colours such as blacks, grays, and dark blues. It is a casual and therefore simple style and very under the radar.
